Leave it Behind

Call me a wimp,  criticize my morals,  judge my actions, but always know that I do my best each and every day not to get in your way.            Stop wasting valuable time in hateful emotions.                                                                                                                                                  Unless we walk in another person's shoes we will never truly KNOW who they are. Have a great Monday, Lisa, the Lady with the Cane

I don't normally post on a Saturday, but today I'm feeling particularly vulnerable. The Miller Family reunion is this weekend and I'm missing it. I've only been absent from two other family get-togethers in my life: Oe was when I had to take my comprehensive final for my graduate degree and one was when my teenage son was away from home and the reunion site was geographically far away from him. Parents will understand that issue. This year doesn't include a life-altering exam nor parental separation. This, the year of the VIRUS, makes us all a bit selfish I want so badly to be there in Princeton, WV, with my aunts, uncle, parents, and one brave cousin. Unfortunately, multiple sclerosis leaves my non-immune system a hot spot for any potential virus fears. And, it's not only me.  If I come into contact with it, my son and husband will also be at risk upon my return. It's just nor fair to any of us. But, hey, life is not fair. We know t

Do the Bloob!

Looking for a new core exercise during this reclusive period? Do the stomach bloob!

Find your MS glitter.

I mean, really, what more can we do?      Now more than ever, we Warriors must celebrate one another's successes. Please look at Cheryl's success. It brought tears to my eye and a smile in my heart.       Need some more encouragement? Check out David Lyons' article concerning resistance training:       I know MS is hard. I live it every day. It is up to us to find our sparkle. Do what you can. Just Move, Lisa, the Lady with the Cane

Mondays are the Best!

GOOD MONDAY!!!!       I have always loved Mondays. Don't judge me, just hear me out. Monday is a new day, a new week, a re-set button. Today is an opportunity to start anew, tattoo a fresh canvas, and set new goals. It's almost like New Year's every week; so, make those resolutions and work on them in small doses.         What are your plans for this week? My son and I finally got a haircut yesterday, so I can finally check that off my list. He looks great. I went totally rogue and require a few days to adjust to my new boy cut.  That's okay. It's only hair, right?      He has an appointment in Morgantown on Tuesday. We both welcome the opportunity to get out of the house but approach this mini road trip with cautious, masked trepidation. In fact, I think this rebellious action will satisfy the growing restlessness of our current

Taopatch and MS

I know I'm a sucker for every little thing MS, but I feel it's essential sometimes to be a human guinea pig in the name of personal research.  Yesterday I tuned in to my first Taopatch webinar and am inviting you to join the party next Thursday when the theme is ALL Ms and Taopatch.  If you are interested in the new rage you've no doubt seen on social media, Taopatch is the latest popular trend in MS treatments. Of course, I'm curious, but am treading cautiously before jumping in. Join me 7/16/2020 for this webinar. It's free. It'll be interesting. Yes, I'm hiding.

I admit it. I'm hiding. Right here in my own little world, I find peace. There are no harsh words, ugly accusations, or nasty germs floating around.  Until recently my family and small circle of friends have remained unscathed by Covid 19 as well as the ridiculous eruption of racial (?) unrest plaguing our world. Sadly, upon my recent from my annual off-the-grid vaca to the mountains, I learned that my uncle, aunt, and cousin are (hopefully) recovering from what appears to be round 2 of this global pandemic. Be well, my North Carolina family. I love you! .   Since the Human Race is intent upon destroying itself instead of learning from the historical lessons at our disposal, I am not confident in a respite from the current stupidity surrounding us. So, to anyone I have ever offended, I'm sorry and I erase myself from your life. Unfortunately, this will probably incite more unrest rather than making sense. That's just the
