Yes, this beautiful gift from nature is happening this Saturday, just in time to welcome the official start of winter. Native Americans kept track of important responsibilities with the occurrence of season full moon. the Harvest moon in September indicated the time to, yep, you got it...harvest. June's strawberry moon is reflective of the abundance of strawberries at that time on the calendar. The infamous Blue moon  happens in the rare situation when there are two full moons in the same month, hence the phrase "once in a blue moon." "Once in a blue moon". I love that phrase. Before I was diagnosed in 2001, I had no idea what MS meant. As an exercise enthusiast and aerobics instructor, my adventures had taken me and my step class to walk for MD, MS, ABCDEFG. What did those letters mean? Were all these   alphabet  diseases related? didn't only hold people get them? Were they all a death certificates  waiting to be signed? I never though about how I could possibly help to defeat these conditions. Sure , that walk across our state capital city was challenging. There were folks in wheelchairs and adorned with fancy, mysterious walking aids in the mix. Even some physical service dogs joined the ranks of the several hundred participants  the year several of us took the road trip   for a fun girl-weekend of exercise, restaurant food, and some time away  from the every day of our usual weekend.
